Senior Rehabilitation Program

We are committed to helping residents at Ball Pavilion, Barnabas Court, and Conrad House achieve their highest level of functioning possible with our Erie restorative nursing services. The experienced therapists at Brevillier Village work closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to develop a customized care plan to meet each resident’s needs. Home Evaluation for Short Stay

For short stay rehab residents, a home evaluation is completed prior to discharge to ensure a safe, worry-free transition back to their home. For residents who have made Ball Pavilion (The Restorative Nursing Program) their home, a referral is made to our Restorative Nursing Program. This formal Erie restorative nursing program serves as the link between rehabilitation and nursing departments and is aimed at maintaining the gains the resident achieved while receiving therapy.

Occupational Therapy

With physician orders, our therapy team provides evaluations and treatments for residents experiencing difficulties with the activities of daily living due to various medical conditions and disorders. Through therapeutic assistance with everyday activities such as eating, dressing, and cooking, residents may regain the ability to participate in what matters to them. Wheelchair seating/positioning management and transfer training are also common occupational therapy interventions.

Physical Therapy

With physician orders, our therapy team provides evaluations and treatments for residents experiencing difficulty with overall mobility and physical function. Highly-trained physical therapists use traditional and cutting-edge treatment techniques to increase mobility and reduce pain.

Various treatment modalities are utilized in order to achieve successful outcomes. Fall prevention strategies are learned through balance retraining and gait training, and all physical therapists work with their clients to help improve overall strength and endurance.

Respiratory Therapy

Our goal is to eliminate the need for unnecessary hospitalizations by addressing resident needs in a familiar environment. Brevillier teamed with Symbria to offer respiratory therapy and pulmonary disease management program. Our residents benefit from advanced clinical modalities including:

• oxygen therapy
• aerosol delivery
• airway care
• respiratory applications and modalities
• pulmonary diagnostics
• pulmonary rehabilitation techniques

Speech Pathology

Following physician orders, our therapy team provides evaluations and treatments for residents experiencing swallowing, communication, and/or cognitive difficulties due to various types of medical conditions and disorders.
